Help with upgrading.

I currently have a Droid X with Android 2.2.1 and Liberty v1.5.

I have been putting off upgrading for awhile but now it seems like I have multiple options.

I am wondering what I should do and if someone could provide links to a tutorial on the proper procedure for doing what I want to do.
