Help with Wireless hotspot Please

I tried installing the patch, then installing the app, and I can't get it to work. My computer sees the hotspot, connects to it, but then when I try to go to a website, I'm unable to. The screen just stays blank and never loads. But when i use wireless tether for root users it works. Am I doing something wrong?

Why would you use Wireless Tether over Wireless Tether for Root Users?

And you install the app first.

Hey,
I read that first you must flash the app zip and reboot once and then flash the patch. You have to do it in that order and you need to reboot in between flashing these two zips.

hmm that could be it, I flashed the patch first and then the app. I'll give it a go
