Still on the 886 and doesn't appear to have a stock rom anymore...get notifications for OTA updates but they wont install...any ideas?

Are you rooted? How did you get to 886?

Yeah....I'm rooted running the th3ory unl3ashed rom....but cannot not recover to my stock to receive the updates...the 886 is what i started out with...been a while

Not particularly...but that doesn't mean I can't learn. Lol. I just want to be able to update and possibly flash a newer ROM. There are some things with this ROM that aren't working anymore.

First you have titanium backup or something similar? Also, contacts are synced with google and all important stuff like docs, pics, vids r on external sd card.

Yep...moved everything! When I flashed this rom I lost my backup with Verizon...I had to sync with Google.

Ok cool. Just checking with my buddy to see if there is any possible way to get bootstrap recovery installed. He is more familiar with it. I use safestrap myself...might be something to look into once u get this phone set up again. Just give me a few minutes...
