I upgraded to a Droid razr maxx about a month ago, until the phone broke. The screen no longer turns on! I had a Droid x2 before I upgraded, and reactivated it until I could get my maxx fixed. I have no idea how to get it fixed though! Also, if I got it fixed after Jun 28, would I still be able to reactivate it and keep my unlimited data? If I could get some help it would be great!

Yes. You can reactivate your phone when it's fixed. The only way you would loose your unlimited data is if you upgrade at a discounted rate to a new phone OR change your plan. Switching phones will not change your plan unless your going between 3G and 4G. Confirmed by corp store 2 days ago when I asked the very same question but with different phones.

I am in fact going to be switching from my 3g phone to a 4g phone, changing plans. Does that mean I can't keep the unlimited?

From a store rep (witch are not always right) he said it would be a "feature change" switching between 4G LTE and 3G devices, there is like 3 or 4 codes that have to be changed on the account each time you change it and after the 28th any "feature change" will cause you to be forced to choose a different plan. I would call 611 or double check with VZW on twitter.

I just had an online chat with a vzw rep and they said that it wouldn't affect the unlimited to swith from a 3g to 4g phone. I then copied and pasted your response, and got
James: I do not understand what that means by a feature change. The 3G and 4G is only the rate of data transferred, so can not see where feature has anything to do with it. Not sure what forum referred too. You could contact Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204 from 6am-11pm local time, Monday-Sunday and check with them about it. I maybe misinterpreting what is being offered.
At least he admitted he doesn't know for sure about any of it.

Thank you! I was in panic mode for a while.

+1 for the online rep admitting he wasn't sure. The store rep showed me what he was talking about when I was there. I just called and asked to double check and the phone rep said she wasn't sure but asked her supervisor and said it "should" be fine but was not 100% either. They for sure can say it would be fine from 3G <> 3G & 4G <> 4G.

Additional Features where the unlimited data is on your account.
