hey ya'll im new and have no idea how this works

hey there. My name is cavi ( pronounced like coffee with a V ) 23 female and im really new to this whole droid thing. Can anyone give me the cliffs note version of what this is all about? I joined cuz I had one question in particular that I needed answered pronto. Im trying to download a file from my PC to me phone (droid 2) and it wont allow me to. A message pops up on my computer saying there is no space. I don't have many apps downloaded yet and erased a few just in case and it didn't help. Can someone help me please??? I will repay you in my ultimate love and devotion.

You say you are trying to download a file from your P.C. to your D2 - exactly how are you attempting to do this ?

Did you load up your phone with a bunch of music or anything? your SD card is 8 gb.

I used the usb and tried to pick the files and drag them to my phone icon to which it says its full. I have 3 songs on my phone and about 6 apps so there should be a ton of space. So im confused

When you connected via USB did you choose Mass Storage - or one of the other options ?

On your phone go to settings/SD card & phone storage and see how much available space it is showing on your SD -
