Welcome from the USA and you might want to check out the rescue squad section of the forum and check around. If you dont see somethin just create a thread or see if you can move your past thread to that section. I wish you luck and feel lucky you are in Australia beautiful place

The seller claims that the phone was working fine when he sent it, and he's been trying to give me a hand fixing these problems. I guess I'll look around a bit and ask in the rescue squad section.

Two of us are on the RS (Jstafford replied on the other post) but we have Droids. Hopefully the RS folks that have the Droid 2 may have other suggestions. Sorry I could not be more helpful.
