Hello.

I am new to the forum. I live in California, USA. I am not a Droid Expert, but do enjoy technology and conveinent devices. I currently have a Droid X. I have had it for about a year and a half. I really love this phone. Many new phones have and came and went , and haven't made me feel obsolete. I am now up for renewal and have my target pointed at the Galaxy Nexus.

I have rooted my phone. I have been able to hotspot when needed. But I am still learning the ends and outs of rooting and customization. It will be fun to get my hands on an Ice Cream Sandwich and play around a little bit, and in the end have a very productive phone.

Thanks

Funny, I have a DX and am planning on getting a Nexus and I'm also from California! :D

Welcome!! Happy to have you with us.

There is a whole lot of west coast in here so I thought I would pop in from the east. My DX has also served me well but I am just as ready for the nexus as you guys!!

Same here went from a OG Droid to a DX and still love it. Might be going for the rezound myself, have to wait and see how the camera's compare when Nexus comes out.

Hello from the east coast! I have had the Samsung fantasy and also up for renewal. I've got my eyes set for the new galaxy nexus also! The only trouble I've had with this one is from using charter.net email which started fetching email on a continual basis a couple of weeks ago. My battery life went from almost 12 hours (light use) to 3 hours at best. After reading some forums finally figured out how to set it up through gmail account. Finally back to my old wonderful battery life! Staying w/Samsung

Glad your samsung has worked out for you. sounds like your primed and ready for the galaxy too! ....... I actually have been a fan of samsung for quite a while. ONe of my favorite non smart phone from many years ago was a samsung, it was a solid little phone, it never had a problem and took a beating. ... I currently have a 51" Flat screen Samsung TV that is great! .... So I have had my eye on a good samsung phone for a long time. Plus it seems like they are taking over in the wireless market these days.

Cheers :)
