I have go launcher on my DROID 2 and it works pretty dang well. Runs very smooth and has plenty of customizable features. I would recomend it.

I'ved used a whole bunch of them, and each have their benefits and drawbacks. Out of the common ones, I've wound up using ADW Ex. I tried Slidescreen, Slide Screen by Larva Labs, and really liked it, but I wished it had more customization of the UI (such as changing it from a mostly black launcher). If you're looking for something different that aggregates your content in one spot, I highly recommend it. They've also got a beta (just google it) that I used, and it's much better than the market version.

Currently using ADW Ex. Love it. It takes some tweaking, but that's the magic - your home screen(s), dock(s) and app drawer the way YOU want! Highly recommend.
