So after having one too many cocktails last Saturday, I some how lost the battery to my Droid 1. I go to my VZW dealer (independent) and buy what they have for the Droid. Some after market "OFFWIRE" brand.
I take it home, let it charge. It's working A-OK! It charges fine and what not.
So tonight, I completely drain my battery for the first time since I had this new battery. It dies like expected. So I go to charge it, starts up fine, gets to the slide-lock screen and....goes back to the white "M" upon boot. Goes through it again and same thing. Stays on the lock screen for about 30 seconds before looping.
Then I tried plugging my phone in on the charger without the battery in it That's not working either. Does the same thing with the loop
I've used 3 different chargers (1 car charger, 2 micro-usb)
What can be going on here? Is it the phone? Is it the after market battery?
Now my phone is rooted. I have a custom boot animation and everything. I'm afraid if I take this battery in, they'll see my Droid is rooted when testing it and will void my warranty.
I've NEVER had an issue with this before with my old battery and I find it odd that it's starting now which pretty much pits it on the battery.
What should I do when I take it to my retailer?
Is there anyway I can fix it manually?
