Hotmail Send Issue

I've set up Hotmail (I know, but I've had the same email for over 10 years). It receives emails just fine, but it will NOT send any.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Same upload email issue with Time Warner

This does not appear to be an isolated issue. I use Time Warner Road Runner Email. I have no trouble receiving emails n two different accounts. Those same accounts CANNOT send any email. Receives a general error. I've tried recreating the accounts, and all the different options. The accounts work fine via standard email programs.

So any thoughts would be great.

I have the same issue with an IMAP account. I have tried every setting. I can receive, but not send.

I spent half the day on Thursday trying to get my IMAP email account to send; and to get my hotmail account to work at all. The solution for me was to down load the K-9 EMail client. I had both of them working within 10 minutes. It is hard to believe that the out of the box android email client is so poor!

The only workaround I have found is an app called MailDroid. After a quick set-up I could finally reply to emails in my hotmail account.
