I believe ADW Launcher EX and maybe ADW Launcher are capable of hiding the names.

I dont see how you guys use such a clean/basic home screen. I have got to have my most used app on my primary home screen or it drives me nuts. To each there own though, just sayin..

I usually keep my center screen clean with minimal text/dock. Use my 1st and 3rd screen to keep my most used apps. Also I have a scrolling dock (launcher pro) and swipepad which def helps keep my apps at my fingertips while not sacrificing the clean look.

You could use folders with a bunch of apps in it or CircleLauncher to make it even more clean looking.
