how can I get the z4 root for my droid x

I have a couple of download links for the z4 root. However when I click them the market says there is no matches for the download. Any suggestions. Or can I download it to my computer and then copy it to my sd card?

You can download it from xda developers forum. You got to register there first. Then just copy to sd card and install

When I tried to get it from xda last night on my phone, it wouldnt let me download, kept getting download errors. I had to google for it and found a megaupload page that had it.

I downloaded and tried to run z4root. I got the supperuser icon, and the z4 icon but when I tried to open the wifi tether program it said I was not rooted...Also after z4root ran it did not do an automatic power-down and start up as described in the utube z4 video. Oh I noticed there are several versions of z4root. Is there a preferred version? Any suggestions?

I downloaded it from *********** the z4 root version 1.3
your phone should automaticly reboot itself. makesure you have usb debugging on i am a rookie as well but it worked great for me
