How do I forward?

How do we forward text messages that were sent prior to someone else and how do we forward text messages that were sent to us?

The only way I"ve found to do it so far is hold my finger down on a text and copy it, then go paste it into a new message.

you should be able to hold down on the text itself you will get a menu and you can forward from that menu.
