How do I keep from connecting to verizons website

How do I disable the automatic connect to verizon everytime I connect to my pc...have already deleted backup assistant..but it still does it.

There's an icon in the bottom right on your computer that looks like the Motorola M, right click it and select Do Nothing when you connect your phone.
