I down load a Pic from my old Omnia i920 forum wallpaper site site.
It 480 X 800 pixel JPG (I can stretch it to get the 54 pixel more if I need it).
When I go to set it as my wallpaper the "crop" square only let me allow 1/2 of the pic.
I resized it way down still no luck.
should I make it a PNG file??

This is the wall paper I'm trying to get....

Thank You

Yea I see what you mean...see if it makes a difference a PNG file...it really just looks impossible to do for a phone wallpaper .. but who knows

I converted file to a PNG a 32 bit and a 24 bit,same issue can't grab whole
480 X 800 Picture.

Still have the same issue.
Crop will only 1/2 way I want the whole flag. Right now I only get all the stars or all the strips.

Are you stretching out the crop window?

Try this one.(attached thumbnail at bottom)
Be sure to stretch the crop window over entire image(see pics below)

Thank YOU worked great!!!
What's your secret??
The old forum for my omnia i920 has a great thread with lot of NICE pic's all 480 x 800.

Where would you be able to crop the picture so that it fits on the screen? I am using the cool black with white cat outline and blue eyes, but I only see a portion of the face.

wallpaper is 4 screens wide!

what i didn't realize, is that your wallpaper image covers 5 screens.
two screens on either side of the home screen. put up a wallpaper, say a side view of a cat. on the home screen you'll see the body of the cat, slide to the right to view the next screen to the left and you'll see the neck of the cat, slide one more over and you'll see the head. going the other way, you'll see back of cat and then tail. so what ever image you use for wallpaper has to have the "sweetspot" of the image in the center for it to show up on your home screen.

found this answer also: What size should my backgrounds be if I don't want to crop it on the phone?
960x854
