How Do I Move Pictures from Camera to SD Card?

I've searched the discussions for 1/2 hour and haven't found quite the answer. I apologize in advance because I suspect it is out there...

How do I move pictures from Camera to SD card? I am using Gallery; other threads mention Astro, but I don't have it and don't know what it is.

Really what I want to do is get them off of the phone onto my PC. When I do the USB connection I don't see any pictures that are still "in the camera". Is there some better way other than emailing them one at a time?

BTW, I emailed a couple. While they looked good on the phone, they looked horrendous on my PC. Color shifts, lost all crispness. I have pictures on my PC from my friend's iPhone and they look *great*. (I saw the recommendation in another thread to clean off the lens. Makes a lot of sense, will try that next time).

Thanks in advance!

After you plug in your phone to your PC, you need to mount it. Drag down the top menu and tap on "USB connected - Select to copy files to/from your computer." Once it's mounted you should see it as another drive under My Computer

Your pictures are already on the sd card. Whenever you take a picture it goes to the DCMI folder on your sd card. Get a file manager like astro, then navigate to SD>DCMI>Camera> and thats where all of your pictures are. So to get them on your comp, just connect via usb, mount your phone, then navigate to the above destination using your comp, and you'll find all of your pics. Then just copy and paste or cut and paste. If you want pictures from other camera apps, you'll have to check the folders of the those specific apps.

Pyro nailed it. The files are all ready on your SD card, just need to know which folder to find them in. In regards to the picture quality, scale them down a bit on your computer and they will look better. Also, try running 'reduce noise' on them if you have any photo editing software(paint.NET is awesome and FREE).

Got the help I needed

Thanks all for the suggestions. I knoew how to access the file system from my PC. What I didn't know what the pathname to go to find the "camera" folder. Found it now.

I'll try playing with the pictures on my PC to see if I can make them better. Again, thanks for the recommendations.
