How do I Root Droid 2.2 build FRG22D

I want to root my Droid 2.2 build FRG22D to be able to do wifi tethering. Does anyone have any intel on this or a work around without rooting? Thanks.

thats Droid 2 and his sig just says droid.

link 3 in my sig will root that build.

My mistake. I misread the first sentence "Droid 2.2" which was his OS not phone. Sorry, OP. Follow Abe's advice not mine.
