How do I save contact list to google

Ho do I save my contact list to google? Wana try custom roms n such but can't lose the contact list in the process.lol

Settings--->Accounts---->Google--->Gmail---->Sync Contacts....done!

Also, once you double check your Gmail account online to verify that all your contacts are there from the phone, you can export a .csv file of your contacts and store them locally on your PC/Laptop or phones SD card...
