How do you use drocap2?

If I shake it, or let the timmer go down from 15, it takes a picture with the START and CANCEL buttons still on screen. What am I doing wrong?

I'm running Sholes 2.0.5 so I'm rooted.

it took me a minute to figure it out too, so no worries

i use the countdown only trigger method and adjust it to 10 sec but thats by preference
-when you hit the start button it will start counting down
-simply get the screen to how you want to take the pick, even if you hit the back button to get to the home screen, or the phone dailpad screen for example, drocap is still counting down to zero and will take the pic when it does
if you have SDcard notification on, your phone will tell ya by that notification that it took the pic

just remember to hit the home button or back button to clear off that start/cancel screen

even though you hit home or the back button , drocap is still counting down. and what ever is on the screen is what it will take. so if you press up and hold the launcher drawer midscreen, drocap will take a pic exactly how it looks on the screen.

if you just want a pic of your home screen, hit the Start button, drocap will start the countdown, hit the home button and just sit and wait

My advice:
Home screen->Menu->Settings->Applications->Manage applications and uninstall it
Then go get ShootMe

I just discovered the notification trigger, this is my favorite method now. People might see me shaking the phone and get the wrong idea.:icon_ devil:

my screen captures look fuzzy. Everyone else's seems very sharp. i have tried both the Jpg and png settings and they look the same. Am I missing something?

I am using Drocap2 now with no problems. I use the shake method.

I also have used Shootme, in the market. Drocap2 would not take any pictures for me for a while so I used that. Then Shootme stopped working and when I downloaded Drocap2 again it worked fine. I forget which rom which one worked on but if the app refuses to work for you there are other options. It may very well have been the "more froyo" rom that I had issues with.

Start drocap2, click the start button on the app's screen that pops up on my desktop. Click the back-arrow soft-key to hide the pop-up. Shake and get a sound notification plus a notice in the notification bar that a "New Screenshot Image" is there.
