How is this possible?

Today I recieved a pretty ridiculous text message. It was so emotionally charged thay I had to reread it a couple of times before I replied. When I reopened the conversation to show the ridiculous text to a friend, the single message was gone, only my response was present and the text I sent before it... I have a Droid Global and the person I was texting has an iPhone (3 i think). I should also say that he is known to be an internet trickster, so he knows how to manipulate electronics to mess with people. Any ideas on HOW he did it? Some of you may think I'm seeing things, and sure, it's a possibility, but an unlikely one... I know I saw it!

Anything is possible I guess but idk. U can't un-send a text so maybe u were tricked into seeing the message to begin with when it wasn't a real text or something

Welcome to Droid Forums. Sorry to say I do not know how to do something like that, hopefully someone will come along who knows if it is possible.

Did any other text logs end up with that original MSG? I know some androids formerly had text issues where it would get someone other than the log you had opened.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I am not sure how he could have done that - maybe he would tell you :) and you could share that with us...LOL

Welcome to the site. I had a text go "missing" one time and I thought that it was at the service provider's end. Or at least I assumed that is where it disappeared from. Sort of like the voice mail messages that man had erased that were the last messages from the family member who died. Would be nice if someone came along to explain. DancingNexus

I do remember a glitch that some people had with the OG Droid, where it would randomly delete text messages, especially once the device memory started getting low. I am unfamiliar with the Global, but it seems like it could be a similar type of bug.
