Could someone who can play with the Galaxy Nexus please tell me how much space is available to download apps from Android Market out of the box? If you can't say how much out of the box, can you give me a rough estimate?
There is going to be about 31.8 gigs of storage ready for your apps - from what I understand, the hardrive is actually around 35 gigs but only 32 is accessible by the user because of defualt apps and ICS.
I could be wrong, but that is the impression I got from reading reviews and the like. For the record, no, I have not touched the nexus so take what I have written with a grain of salt
It does not appear that the memory is split into main memory and a virtual SD card. If not, this has me concerned, as some apps only back up data to a SD card. I thought that the memory was split.
This memory will not fucntion exactly the way mounting an SD card would work with other phones. I havent looked into that much because I dont care but I might go looking for an article on if its possible to partition a portion of the memory or how that would work.
EDIT: Read this and this is a good start for how to understand. Most will not care past this but if you are a Mac person there might be a software required.
