How to block telemarketers

I start getting calls from telemarketers, what's the best way to block those calls?
also regarding sms blocking I still have smsBlocker on my phone, but it looks like if you choose "Messages" then smsBlocker will not work.

I use an app from YouMail Here that ditches some calls in their database before I even know I had a call and allows you to add ditched numbers. It usually identifies the caller's location and most of the time will actually say if it's SPAM

Most of the phones I use have the option to add calls to a block list. If I get a telemarketer call I hang up and long press on the number and select block.

The good thing about this app is that blocks calls I don't even know about, automatically. But yes, your way works too.
