how to change contact ‘type.’

I want to change a contact from "phone" type to "google" type. Does anyone know how to do this.

You know, I've been wondering the same thing, from my Motorola devices it lets you choose default contact storage. The Rezound does not, and I can't find anything in any of the settings anywhere that allows this. I am wondering if it stores them to Google by default?

Any one else with insight?

I have searched and searched for forcing Google as default, have yet to find a way...

Not sure how to avoid the Google/phone choice when adding a contact but go into People, tap the word people at the top, uncheck the contacts you don't want to show will at least keep contacts you don't want showing up from being seen.
