How to change gmail default email account

When I purchased my Droid X, the salesman created a new gmail account. That account became the default account for my phone. I already had an account with gmail and that is the account I want to be the default account. I would like to delete the account created by the salesman if possible and make my original account the default account. If I can't delete that account, then could I just 'swap' the gmail accounts and make the original one the default? Thanks!

Looks like the answer found me! I was refered to several similar threads and it looks like the only option is going to be a factory reset. I thought I had checked everything befor posting my question and was surprised to have those pop up. I think this site is going to be a very valuable resource. Thanks and sorry for the bother!
