How to: Display contacts as "only with phone number" in Jelly Bean

People(contacts)/Settings(three dashes)/Contacts to Display/Back Up Assistant Plus. :icon_ banana: You might have to back up your phone contacts to Back up Assistant first if you are not using it.

Why would you want to display contacts as "only with phone number"?
I am curious about this, please do not flame the potentially ignorant question.
Sorry, I'm just wondering ... is there a reason you would not want to see (have direct access to) txt-options, multiple phone-numbers, email methods/choices for contacting people?

For ease of using the dialer which now has no 'contacts' within it. It does not change the functions of txt or email.
