Thanks to some very resourceful Galaxy Beta testers we now have a method for installing the Beta build of Nougat on the Galaxy S7 Edge. So far users are reporting better speed and performance, better battery life, and are overall satisfied with the update. Installing the beta build is actually pretty simple.
Download the update.zip
-reboot your phone to download mode (power+volumeup+home) be sure it says official under the system binary otherwise you will need to flash the PH1 firmware through Odin.
-boot back into Android once you have confirmed you have "official" status
-enable developer options
-turn OEM unlock OFF
-enable USB debugging
-place Update.zip on Ext sd card in the folder named fota
-turn off your phone
-reboot to download mode
-reboot to recovery (power+volumedown+home)
-choose apply Update.zip from SD card
-find the update.zip in the fota folder
-click yes to apply
Once you are on the Beta build you will also be able to install future betas over the air. It should be noted that you must be fully stock and unrooted for this to work. Also you should know that Gear VR does not work on the beta builds.
