How to make my phone ring longer?

I set up my ringtone using ringdroid and when someone calls me, it only rings for few seconds and forwards it to voicemail.
Anybody has a idea how to make the ringtime longer??
And also, how to cancel voicemail??

I think the voice mail is through your carrier so you'll have to have them turn it off. Now short rings happen when your signal is weak ( on mine anyway ) or try another ring tone and see if it works longer, then go from there.
