How to remove Google search from Jellybean?

I just got this RAZR M and am using SwiftKey and Go Sms pro. When I start responding to a text it automatically brings up the Google search bar and it's annoying. Anyone know how to disable this?

If you go into apps select Google search remove updates than disable it. That will remove it from your home screen and will probably remove it from every where else.

If it's not HD it might as well be a newspaper.

Be careful if you DISABLE Google Search as it will affect your voice input with other apps, rendering voice input unusable.

But if you want to do it : Settings/Apps/All/ Google search/ Disable

It sucks that it does that, I hate the bar on the top of the screen. Thanks for bring up that point. Slipped my mind.

I get a gray bar with my droid MAXX, my older phone left a void there. As mentioned you can use nova launcher or another launcher.
