How to stop stock sms notifications

Ok I installed Handcent and I love it now I just don't know how to stop the stock sms app from notifying me too...so yeah when I get a text I get two alerts Handcent and stock...can anyone help..

I may be able to.

Go to your stock app, menu>settings>notifications, uncheck the box.

Should be it.
