How to trans videos to Droid Incredible?

I feel like an idiot asking this question, but I'm trying to move some .m4v video files from my hard drive (Win XP) to my Incredible.

But what I see in Astro (and Linda, and OI) file manager looks nothing like what I see in Windows Explorer. I've searched the forum and cans't find anything that answers this.

On the phone, using Astro, these folders show up in "/" (home):
acct
app-cache
cache
config
d
data
dev
emmc
etc
mnt - contains "sdcard" folder, which Astro says is empty
proc
root
sbin
sdcard - empty too
sys
system
...and a few files: default, init, etc...

But in Windows Explorer, two drives appear when I plug in the phone and mount is as a hard drive. Neither of these looks anything like the above.

Drive I: is 6.6 Gb, which I assume is the phone's internal storage. This has the folders:
.bookmark_thumbs1
.fooprints
.Mail
.mixzing
albumthumbs
DCIM
download
Downloads
LOST.DIR
MP3 - I put mp3s in here and they play on the media player, yippee
My Documents
paint

Then there's drive J:, which at 1.8 Gb must be the SD card. This has a lot more folders, some the same as I:
.android_secure
.bookmark_thumb1
.footprints
.funny-babel
.htcnews
.kayakimages
.Mail
adobe
Android
astrid
data
DCIM
download
...and a bunch more.

No folders or anything called "sdcard" show up in Explorer.

So...where do I put the videos to play them on my Incredible?

Thanks!

Make a folder on either the internal memory or SD card and name it "video" then click and drag your videos over

m4v is not recognized by Gallery as a video file. The files need to have an MP4 file extension. If they are MP4's, you can put them anywhere on the memorycard.

Do understand that iTunes rented/purchased files as well as Digital Copies are wrapped in DRM that will make the file non-playable on non-Apple devices.

You can try renaming the file extension ofyour files to MP4 and see if that works, otherwise, use a conversion tool to convert your movies to MP4.
If you created your files using a conversion tool, look for settings to save the files as MP4 instead.
