How to transfer files from Droid X to my pc

I've tried using the USB and selecting USB mass storage. My phone is showing up in My Computer as a "device with removable storage", but when I click on it, no files or folders are showing up. The only items listed are a setup file and the driver file. I have already run and installed the driver correctly as far as I know and nothing happens when the setup file is clicked. I'm using a 2007 Toshiba Satellite. Any suggestions? I'm trying to move a video that is taking up most of my storage on my SD card.

I'm not a computer pro but I'd try a right click on the icon representing the phone drive and see if I'd get the 'explore' option

If that doesn't work, maybe try taking the card out if you have a reader and slot for it. A pain, I know, but if it works....

That sounds like the CD install thing they put on the phones. Give this a shot:

Menu > Settings > Storage

Make sure Disable Software Install is checked. Then replug your phone in again.

Yea, I don't have a reader, wish I did! I tried looking at "explore" earlier but it just lists the same files. Thanks though!

Well, depending on your time frame and whatnot, they're pretty cheap most places. If you can't get it the right way, it could be a last resort for you.
