My sister gave me her old hand-me-down SCH-I915 Tab2 10.1 tablet. She had Verizon as her carrier, but I'm looking to use it as a WIFI only tablet and not connect it to a wireless carrier network (I use T-Mobile, anyway). The problem is that I cannot seem to get it to have internet service on my WIFI.
So, I have two questions
1) Is it even possible for me to unlock/root this device to be able to use it as a WIFI only device?
2) If so, could you please tell me how to accomplish this?
It seems that most posts about this device are over 10 years old so the links in the posts are all dead.
