How to Unroot Htc Rezound

ok so im new to rooting and i dont know how to flash blah blah blah i saw something about fastboot oem something but dont know how to use it i want to get my phone back to default settings like it was out of the box but im kind of a noobie so if anyone here could be nice enough to give me a step by step guide asap it would really help out

You can "unroot" it by removing Super User and you can lock the bootloader but it doesn't return it to factory locked (once you did the unlock there was no going back.) If you are returning it, I highly doubt Verizon reps would even check to see if it's been unlocked. It's been posted here, try the Search button.

this is not the case when i try to update to the new update i will download it then the phone restarts then the screen comes up with a little android guy and the blue thingy he is holding the update gets a bout 1/4th of the way on the progress bar and then a dead android icon comes up with his stomach open and a red triangle like an error ive pretty much tried everything so i figured it might be because of the root?

How do you remove Superuser? You cannot uninstall the Superuser app.
