How to update my android 4.0.4 to latest android version?

Friends, I want to know how can I update my android 4.0.4 to latest version of android, what's the procedire of updating.
Actually I am new to android and I dont know how to update android. I think latest version of android is 4.2.2. but how to update?
I am using HCL ME U2.
Please help me.
