So I have the Razr-M and rooted it but unfortunately the boot loader is locked and not able to be unlocked. I was wanting to upgrade to the Maxx because its essentially the same phone but with a much better battery life. Anyway, it is my understanding that if the phone has a firmware version prior to 9.18.79 that the boot loader can be unlocked. Is that true? And then--is there a way to find such a phone on the secondary market? Checking on E-Bay people have no clue what I am referring to. I was thinking there may be some other place to look?
