HTC First Quarter Profit is Tripled Thanks to 'Andy'

HTC just released their first-quarter profits for 2011 with triple profits. The reason for their massive profit boost was directly attributed to increased demand of Android smartphones like the HTC EVO and the HTC Thunderbolt. Company earnings handily destroyed analyst expectations of NT$12.99 billion by hitting a first-quarter record of NT$14.83 billion ($511 million). HTC indicated that its first-quarter revenue grew 174% to NT$104.2 billion.
