HTC Incredible stuck at Red Eye Mode- Please help!

I have an Incredible that is about 11 months old and never had any issues. My son was downloading an app and while it was downloading, I tried to check my mail and got a force close, then my facebook and same thing. So I shut off my phone and turned it back on and now it just shows my the red eye and says droid, over and over in some never ending loop. I was going to call Verizon but the first thing they will tell me to do is wipe off my phone and I dont want to lose all my data. Any suggestions? I am not Tech Saavy so keep that in mind when answering my thread

I'm assuming you've pulled the battery multiple times already and no luck.

Question: Are you rooted? If so, did you create a backup?

If it is stock and you're still stuck on the red eye, I'm afraid you may be out of luck and may have to wipe the phone. Hopefully someone can chime in with a solution, but that's all the help I can provide for now...sorry
