Hi,
I rooted my wife's Rhyme last year. I was able to install a version of CWM recovery and it's stable except for one issue.
She keeps getting OTA notices. She hit "ok" once or twice (not knowing what else to do) but of coarse, the update didn't succeed. Since she told me about the notifications, I followed the advice seen on several forums and renamed the otacert.zip file in the /etc/security folder. I also wiped the cache and dalvik cache partitions. That didn't fix it. She's still getting the update notices.
I've seen a few posts on threads for other phones that talk about modifying the build.prop file text to change the OS version number. Does anyone now if that's possible with the Rhyme and/or how to do it?
If not, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
