HTC Thunderbolt questions

I have a couple of questions about the Thunderbolt. When we get the thunderbolt, is it going to only be available for 4g cities? Also if you get one of these phones and it is only sold in 4g cities, what happens when you drive out into the middle of the country? Will your phone pick up 3g where 4g was not available? Lastly, is there still going to be a unlimited data plan?

There is a few 4G threads floating around already.

It'll be available everywhere and if 4G isn't available it will drop to 3G, etc.
