HTC's Rock Video Could be as Bad as the Rap Video; Still Gets 'A' for Effort & Courage

Just last week one of the big topics of conversation in the forums was HTC's horrid rap video. While it can be argued that it was intended to be a parody, its production values were so bad and it was in such poor taste, it simply wasn't funny.

Today we have another music video from HTC, and while it probably isn't intended to be funny, it is still rather painful to watch. What we have is a rock video performance by HTC CEO Peter Chou himself. The event is HTC's 2014 year-end party, and several execs including Chou are "performing" on stage.

We have to give credit where credit is due. Despite the performances being slightly cringeworthy, we have to admire Chou's courage and effort as he gets inspirational singing “we are one,” and “together we can change the world.” It's a rare leader who is willing to take such a big risk in front of people they work with, and we hope HTC sticks to sharing videos like these in the future.

He also does a pretty darn good job with that guitar!

It's Karaoke night all over again. They are certainly fearless. I don't understand why they couldn't do this when they owned Beats. At least they'd have decent artists. Wait... Are they trying to turn into a record label? XD

At a certain point you just feel embarrassed for them. Its a complete train wreck that you just can't look away from. I don't know if the fact they actually think its good makes it better or worse.

That one was even MORE painful to watch than the last one. Will someone PLEASE put this dying dog out of it's misery.....Sammy...LG....SONY....any takers?
