For those of us here in the States, here are some great phones that we can be jealous about (although they did say North America - they may have only meant Canada). Our users in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East and China will all be able to get these nice looking new Ice Cream Sandwich laden smartphones from Huawei in Q2 of this year. One of them now takes the crown of the thinnest smartphone in the world at slightly less than 6.7mm. Both of these new phones, P1 and the P1 S are identical in specs. The only difference between the two is that one is a little thicker (most likely to facilitate LTE radios). Here are the full specs on these impressive looking devices:
  • 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD (960 540)
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 8MP rear camera with 1080p recording
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera with 720p recording
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB ROM
  • Quadband (GSM/GPRS/EDGE)
  • Pentaband (UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA)
The phones will come in a multitude of colors, including (but not limited to) metallic black, ceramic white an cherry-blossom pink. Perhaps they will bring these to the U.S.... Share your thoughts.

Nothing much different than what we currently have. And not a fan of these "thinnest phones in the world" thing. The RAZR is already to thin and uncomfortable to hold. I like the size of my Nexus, but maybe I'm biased.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using DroidForums

Call me cazy but i want that pink phone....no not for me but for my girl. Id take the ceramic white one. Beastly specs and thinness works for me. although I would still be afraid to break it :/

Not liking the form factor.

I can see the conversations now.

"Hey look, I got a Huawei phone"

"What? you got a highway phone?"

"No, Huawei"

"Yes I know there is no highway here, its about 10 miles down that road."

"Oh, I thought you went to Hawaii to buy a phone"
