[Humble Request] for acheiving Root on JellyBean

Hi,
I was using the ICS 4.0.4 Build with lot of tweaks and Root apps. I received a notification about the update when I woke up on 26. I searched Droid Forum - Dedicated Verizon Android Forum - Droid, Droid2, Droid3, Droid4, Droid X, Droid X2, Bionic, RAZR and hurrah.. I found the JB update file.. I was dumb... I never researched about root. I downloaded the flashable zip and flashed it, It failed.


Used RSDLite and Restored the XT912 to Stock and Flashed the ZIP again. Now I'm in Jelly Bean sadly without Root.
Sadly I lost a lot of Application Data.. I want to get them back. I use Titanium Backup for restoring application Data. I depend on Tethering heavily.


I miss my Root badly.. Its like I'm hand cuffed.. Please help...:hail::hail:


Is there any way to get root back?


Is there any way to get root on the JB?


Can I return back to ICS?

I was warned by a member from the forums that some cdt.bin and another file got updated in JB update and so you cannot go back..

Still believe in miracles.

There is a "hint" that if you flashed back to .211 (which WILL fail), then root while in .211, then side-load back to Jellybean, you MIGHT be able to regain root, but I wouldn't chance it. Otherwise, just sit tight. Root WILL come. Just give the Devs the time they need. We'll get root back.

No, I don't mean to mislead. There is NO going back to ICS from Jelly Bean (at least not at this point). It may be able to be done at some future date, but that remains to be seen. You can always flash a custom ICS ROM if you wish, but I'd question why.
