?? Husband, Wife Apps??

My wife is getting a Droid 1 today and I am looking for some apps that we could use together on our phones.
For example, we would like to have a tracker app where we could see eachother on our phones. Not a jealousy thing, I just work out of state and it would be something fun to play with.
Also, any good person to person apps. It can be messaging, ptt, or anything like that.
Any help is greatly appriciated, We have been married for 12 years and just like to stay connected, plus it gives me another phone to root, :icon_ banana:

Skype is crapware and is so over sized its insane. Choppy video and audio is as well even standing UNDER a tower. I would suggest not waisting your time, minutes, or space on your phone with this app.
What's a good way to do this, create a new Gmail account just for the purpose of the shared calendar?
Why would you need to "create" an account? For that matter, how are you backing up your contacts WITHOUT a Google account? Android is powered by Google. In order to do a lot of things on these phones, they require a Google account.

We both have Gmail already; don't think D2 can be setup for service without one.

I meant make a new 'shared' gmail accnt to add on each phone, just for the purpose of using a synced calendar; was wondering if tp76 had set up shared and separate calendars and kept it simple using just their standard Gmail accounts.
