I can't see what I'm typing as I key in a url...

I dont know what has happened, or if i did something and did not realize it, but this only occurs when i am using my (Motorola A855) Droid "sideways", and typing a web address. Any other time, texting, typing an email, etc., whatever i type pops up... only when i click the address bar in the browser and begin to type, the letters do not show up. If I type the entire address in the box and hit "go", it will take me to the site i have typed, but i do not know if i have made a spelling error until i hit "go" and I am taken to the address i have typed. Its getting a little annoying and I don't know what i did. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have this problem too occasionally, I usually just pop out the physical keyboard and continue ;-)

yes everything stock... i just got my phone 2 weeks ago. this is the first problem i've encountered.
