i fill stupid but what is a leaked phone

dancedroidi want to downgrade and root my droid eris 2.1 its a stock for the store phone. it was 1.5 when i bought it but i updated it ota the day i got it i didnt know about rooting it.

i found a downgrade root but it will not work on leak phones and idk what leak is lol please help


if my phone is a leak is there a way to root it or downgrade 2.1

I'd ask the person that told you it's a "leak" phone. The only leak phones I know about are ones that haven't been released yet but pictures or videos of it have been leaked.

okay well i want to downgrade and root my 2.1 eris but i dont want to mess it up anyways so will the downgrade to 1.5 and root (cupcake) work

not a lot of info out there for the eris. it's kind of the red headed step child. i'd say start reading this and take your time and figure out what you're doing before you do it.
