I have a question can somebody help?

Ok my Droid X battery has been invalid for about 2 weeks now and I am wondering if I root my phone and clear battery stats would it fix it? Im not to sure if it would but some one told my to try and see if it would work

There a a couple of other posts about this issue. I would look thru those first for answers or call Verizon. You could also try a factory reset and see if that does it. Good luck!
