Okay, here's some pratical advice: don't place the screen facing the inside of your pants! I suffered from the same issue however, I realized that it's possible that the phone reads my leg's heat as a really large finger and that's what's causing your accidental call acceptance and or denials... ironically I changed my droids standard tabs to your circular tab lol cause I had the same issue! so the best advice is to have you phone's screen face away from you... and don't grab you phone with your hand touching the screen instead use your fingers to grab the sides of your phone and pul it out of your pocket...
Still not happy? Okay then moving on:
let's walk you through this... what phone are you on? If you're on a htc incredible then jump roms and move over to cyanogen's rom anything after six is fine and will let you customize your lockscreen slider: I myself found it easy... it'll be on the main screen screen press the settings button then click cyanogen settings then look for lockscreen settings... and go from there! Come back if and when you have cm and/or questions...

Dude, your funny. I will try the screen out for a bit. This thread started with be saying I am on Das_Bamf_desensed and wanting to stay. I love the ROM. However, it is great to know other ROMS, have changed this. It can be done. We are getting closer!!!!!

So funny, I think the natural tendency is to face the screen inward as a means to protect it.

Well, yes you'd think that screen inside would be better but if you're seeing issues like yours something else needs to change right? Well, in the mean time... please answer the question are you on an htc incredible? Or something else? I know htc but rom variety varies from phone to phone and to add further the htc incredible barely got cm... so you wouldn't have had another option about three or six months ago. So since your on a phone you should have gotten a call already right? Better? Give it a couple days to try the physical method first then see what other rom options you have... then come back and report your findings laters.

Okay my usefulness is done here my knowledge stops here... I can only say to ask the dev of that rom to make that kind of adjustment besides you have looked in the settings right? Anywho, I bid you good luck! Hunt around maybe you'll find something else.

Im rooted and have a stock rom. I used root explorer to comment out all the bloatware. (example blockbuster.apk to blockbuster.apk.old.)
While i was in there, i simply
renamed slider.apk to slider.apk.old (dont forget to do same thing to the odex file of the same name if there is one) and it will revert it to the droid1 slider

I do not have slider.aol on my phone. I searched with root explorer. I have on-screen.aol and that has been changed to on-screen.all.old already. You had me real excited but no cigar.
