I lost my ability to voice text!

I was using my voice to text. Now, The little microphone is not there anymore. How do I get it back? that was a wonderful feature!

check android market place and make sure you have google voice installed

Just installed it. Rebooted phone nothing...

did you change keyboards at all? or ROMS?

I rooted don't recall changing roms but it does say I have steel Droid rom
