I need help in rooting a Motorola DEFY XT

Hi all I am having trouble rooting my Motorola DEFY XT with Z4root I did download it to the root of the SD card and went to install it but it didnt install and then corrupted the Z4root file. Does anyone know how you root a Motorola DEFT XT that is on the new Republic network? Thanks so much Tom
