I need help with a setting for my Droid 2

I have 2 separate charging stations for my droid 2, one for the house and one for the car. When I stick my phone ine the car station, it pulls up car mode and when I put it in the home station it defaults to my alarm screen.

When I put my phone in each of these stations I dontbwant it to do anything. I just want it to charge the phone. Where is the setting forbthis?

The "stations" are doing exactly what they are designed to do. There is a magnet in the car station that enables the car dock mode. Not sure how the home station does it. If you had a normal car charger and a normal home charger, then the phone would show that it is being charged and then go to sleep.

Does that mean there is no setting to keep it from doing this?

Remove the magnet.
On the desk charger it is on the back of the upright plate under a black sticker.
On the car mount it is under the removable black section in the center of the mounting plate.

I just finally got around to removing these magnets you mention, but I don't see a magnet in the back of the upright of the desktop charger.

Also, I can't believe that there is not a setting for this on my phone???
